David joined Goldrock Capital in early 2008 as a member of the Goldrock Israel Growth investment team. Prior to joining Goldrock Capital, David was Managing Director of Slingshot Advisors – a boutique advisory firm that specialized in providing investment advisory services to venture capital and private equity funds in the areas of developing Israeli investment strategy, investing in cleantech, and executing later stage technology investments in Israel. Clients included two top tier US venture capital funds, private US investors, a US fund of funds, a European private equity fund and an Israeli cleantech venture capital fund.

Since early 2007, David has been an active corporate development advisor to ZenithSolar, an early stage solar energy technology company. In early 2005, David helped launch and manage the Israeli office of VantagePoint Venture Partners where he was an Associate on the investment professionals’ team in the IT and cleantech practices. Notably, David sourced and was a part of the investment team that seeded BrightSource Energy in 2006 – currently a leading concentrating solar power (CSP) technology company.

From 1999 to 2005, David was a Manager at Ernst & Young Israel in the Corporate Finance group, focusing on management consulting services to technology businesses. During that period, David managed over 100 clients from numerous sectors with a bias towards technology – from start-ups to multi-billion dollar companies. David worked directly with senior management to guide and often implement corporate strategies.

David launched his professional career in the US at Merrill Lynch in 1998, where David developed high growth large cap stock portfolios for high net worth individuals. David holds a B.S. in finance from Yeshiva University in New York.

David was born in Atlanta, Georgia and moved to Israel in 1999 where he currently lives with his wife and 3 children. He is an active volunteer and advisor to Lema’an Achai – his neighborhood’s local social work and charity organization. After completing 2 years of post-graduate rabbinic studies in the 1990’s, David is again currently working towards rabbinic ordination.
